This episode was recorded last week and wow, was it a great conversation. I learnt so much from Omar during our chat and left feeling so inspired by his journey and how he has managed to grow such a successful brand. So many people have dreams of starting a their own business but never follow it through and it’s just so great to see a young entrepreneur become so successful. Congratulations to Omar and Zane again for being featured in the Forbes 30 under 30 List of 2020. What an incredible achievement.

The biggest takeaway for me was the power of passion in business. Although I’ve said before that the word passion gets thrown around a lot when discussing careers, Omar verbalised it so well by saying that we get passionate about things we spend a lot of time doing because we become invested in it. I’ll definitely be keeping that quote in mind for the future.

Dr Omar Sabre is a dentist turned entrepreneur. Graduating from the University of Otago, Omar moved to private practice and became intensely involved in the education space, working closely with leading dental manufactures, Universities and conferences to present his work. In 2017, and in the face of adversity, he set out to start MAISON de SABRÉ, a pure-play premium leather goods brand and hasn’t looked back since. Currently based in Gold Coast, Omar has just joined the Forbes 30 under 30 List of 2020 alongside his business partner and brother, Zane.
